Join D.A. Roach in the Demon Hunters Reading Marathon

So what’s this about?  Well, you know me. Everything begins with a story.  Lately, I’ve been unable to sleep, but not for the usual reasons. This time, I’ve been kept awake into the wee hours of the morning reading Between the Bleeding Willows by D. A. Roach.  I met D.A., or Deb, as we collaborated in the Midnight Oil Anthology from Southern Owl Publications.

We clicked, immediately and helped each other out with promotions. When I discovered she also writes YA paranormal fiction, she gave me a copy of Between the Bleeding Willows, and I am devouring it.  Like my book, Viral Dawn, Deb’s book features a bold and powerful heroine with a strong drive to lead.

Cassidy has experienced a great deal of pain and loss in her life, but this has made her stronger. She continues despite pain and challenge–even when that challenge is other-worldly. I love that about her. So I’m hooked.

Luckily, Between the Bleeding Willows is part of the Demon Hunters series so we can sink our teeth into Cassidy’s story for a while.  Deb is sponsoring a completely rad Demon Hunters reading marathon this month in anticipation of the release of the third book in the series, Beneath a Sinister Moon, coming in December.

D.A. Roach and her Demon Hunters street team are leading the marathon with fun reading activities, games, guest authors, giveaways, and other fun.  The Demon Hunters Series Reading Marathon Starts today Nov. 1st!

What is a marathon, you ask? A marathon is a read-a-long of an entire series. For this marathon, D. A. and her team have divided her YA Paranormal series into three, 2-week legs. Readers will read the assigned chapters and then return to the event page to participate in games, contests, and other fun before continuing on. (So it’s kind of like those book clubs at libraries, but with a techno-twist.)

Here’s the Schedule:  The main purpose of the event is to read the series. We’ll give you a time frame for reaching Mile Markers (checkpoints) and at those mile markers, readers can join in discussion threads and games to reflect on the action, plotline, and themes presented in the chapters read. You will also be able to ask D.A. anything about the book and her thought process in writing it! It’s a rare opportunity to get author feedback on a great story.

Finish line:  Readers who finish the entire series and post reviews for all three books reach the finish line and are eligible for the GRAND PRIZE DEMON HUNTER BOX. This grand prize is packed with paranormal goodies! The finish line party will take place on Saturday, Dec.15th where we’ll have some closing remarks, more fun, and prizes!

Guest Authors:  A reading marathon would be nothing special if it didn’t introduce you to other authors and their “trophies.” So, D. A. has invited a few authors to “showcase” their own books too.
